Privacy Policy

Last Updated: February 2026

At Application Mitra (accessible from https://applicationmitra.com), one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by Application Mitra and how we use it.

We understand that you are uploading sensitive identity documents (such as passport-size photographs and signatures) to use our compression tools. We want to be explicitly clear about how these files are handled to ensure your complete peace of mind.

If you have additional questions or require more information about our Privacy Policy, do not hesitate to contact us.

1. The Core Promise: Zero-Server Storage Architecture

The most important aspect of our privacy commitment is our technical architecture. Unlike many other online image processing tools, Application Mitra does NOT upload your images to a remote server for processing.

1.1 Client-Side Processing (Browser-Based)

All image resizing, compression, cropping, and text injection (adding Name/Date strips) happens locally within your web browser using advanced HTML5 Canvas and JavaScript technologies.

  • When you select a photo, it is loaded into your device’s Random Access Memory (RAM).
  • The processing logic runs on your device’s CPU.
  • The final output is generated in your browser and downloaded directly to your storage.

1.2 No Data Retention

Since the file transfer never occurs between your device and our server:

  • We cannot view your photos or signatures.
  • We cannot store or backup your documents.
  • We cannot share your documents with third parties.

Once you close the browser tab or refresh the page, the data is instantly and permanently cleared from your device’s temporary memory.

2. Information We Collect

While we do not collect your files, we do collect standard internet log information to improve the functionality of our website and serve relevant advertisements.

2.1 Log Files

Application Mitra follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this as a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files includes:

  • Internet Protocol (IP) addresses
  • Browser type (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari)
  • Internet Service Provider (ISP)
  • Date and time stamp
  • Referring/exit pages
  • Possibly the number of clicks

These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information to ensure our servers can handle the traffic load during peak exam notification periods (e.g., TNPSC Group 4 notification releases).

2.2 Cookies and Web Beacons

Like any other website, Application Mitra uses ‘cookies’. These cookies are used to store information including visitors’ preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users’ experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors’ browser type and/or other information.

3. Third-Party Privacy Policies

Application Mitra’s Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. Thus, we are advising you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information. It may include their practices and instructions about how to opt-out of certain options.

You can choose to disable cookies through your individual browser options. To know more detailed information about cookie management with specific web browsers, it can be found at the browsers’ respective websites.

4. CCPA Privacy Rights (Do Not Sell My Personal Information)

Under the CCPA, among other rights, California consumers (and by extension, global users of our platform) have the right to:

  • Request that a business that collects a consumer’s personal data disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal data that a business has collected about consumers.
  • Request that a business delete any personal data about the consumer that a business has collected.
  • Request that a business that sells a consumer’s personal data, not sell the consumer’s personal data.

Application Mitra Note: Since we do not collect personal data like names, emails, or photos, we do not have any data to sell. However, if you make a request regarding log data, we have one month to respond to you. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact us.

5. GDPR Data Protection Rights

We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access – You have the right to request copies of your personal data (logs). We may charge you a small fee for this service.
  • The right to rectification – You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate.
  • The right to erasure – You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact us.

6. Children’s Information (COPPA)

Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.

Application Mitra does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. Given the nature of our tool (government job applications), our audience is primarily adults (18+). If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.

7. Data Security measures

While no online service is 100% secure, we implement industry-standard security measures to protect the limited data (logs) we hold.

  • SSL Encryption: Our entire website is served over HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure), ensuring that the connection between your browser and our website is encrypted. This prevents eavesdropping on the data you input (like your Name/Date in the tool).
  • Regular Audits: We regularly update our server software and WordPress plugins to patch any potential security vulnerabilities.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately, after they are posted on this page.

9. Contact Us

If you have any questions or suggestions about our Privacy Policy, do not hesitate to contact us.
